1. Our details

AA Publishing is a trading name of Automobile Association Developments Limited whose registered office is at Fanum House, Basing View, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG21 4EA. Registered number 1878835 England. VAT registration number: 844 2884 04.

2. The contract

When you place an order to purchase a product from us, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your order, this will be sent to your given e-mail address. This e-mail will re-confirm the details of your order, along with a despatch time estimate.

Your order represents an offer to us to purchase the product which will only be accepted by us when we despatch the product to you. The despatch is normally within 7 working days of the order.

There will be no contract of any kind between you and us until we actually dispatch the product to you. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the product to you without giving any reason. At the moment that the products are dispatched, a contract will be made between you and us, and you will be charged for the products

3. Availability

The product is offered subject to availability of actual stock. We apologise in advance if any product is not available which may be caused by a sudden high demand. Please note that despatch estimates are just that. They are not guaranteed despatch times and should not be relied upon as such.

4. Telephone Orders

Products may be ordered by telephone on 08701 21 51 76. Lines are open 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Calls provided by BT will be charged at up to 8 pence per minute. A Call Set-Up Fee of 3 pence per call applies to calls from residential lines. Mobile and other providers’ costs may vary. See http://www.bt.com/pricing for details. Prices correct at Oct 06.

5. Payment

You can pay with Mastercard or Visa credit card, Switch or Delta debit card. Your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order. You will not be charged for items until they are dispatched.

6. Postage Costs and Delivery

Delivery is made at no cost to your chosen delivery address providing it is to a delivery address within either England, Scotland or Wales. We are unable to deliver overseas. We will deliver the products to the address you specify for delivery as stated in your order. All products are delivered between 08.00 – 17.30 hours (GMT) Monday to Friday excluding UK Bank Holidays. Please be precise about your address and where you would like the products left if you are out when we deliver. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the products once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions. If you do not leave any instructions on where to leave the products and you are not in when we deliver you will be left with contact instructions for pick-up or re-delivery.

While every effort is made to despatch your order within 7 working days of receipt, there will be occasions when we are unable to meet this target. On such occasions we reserve the right to despatch your products within 28 days from receipt of your order.

7. Alteration of Service or Amendments to the Conditions

We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Terms and Conditions at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions in force at the time that you use the website or when you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case any such requirements or changes will apply to orders previously placed by you from the date that the relevant change or requirement came into force).

Any term sought to be imposed by you in your order will not form part of these Terms and Conditions.

In particular nothing said by any sales person on behalf of us should be understood as a variation of these Terms and Conditions or as an authorised representation about the nature or quality of any products offered for sale by us. We shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading

8. Cancellation Policy

If you are not happy with the products you have chosen for any reason you may return them within 14 days from the date the order was delivered for an exchange or refund. Returns are at your own expense and you must take reasonable care of the products whilst in your possession. We will also accept returns if:

(a) The product was damaged or faulty: we will either replace the product or give you a full refund (including postage costs). Please inform us which option you prefer. If you want a replacement, we will wait for the damaged / faulty product to be returned before despatching a new product. To speak to customer services about damaged or faulty products please call 08701 21 51 76. Call charges as set out in clause 4 apply.

(b) The product was incorrectly supplied: If we made a mistake and sent you the incorrect product, we will give you a full refund (including postage costs).

© The product doesn’t meet your requirements: We will refund the product only (all postage costs will be your responsibility) subject to the following conditions:

· The product must be returned within 28 days of receipt
· It must be in pristine and resalable condition.
· It must be accompanied by a copy of the delivery note or receipt.

Refunds shall be made within thirty days following the date of receipt of the cancellation notice. Refunds will be given in the same tender type as the original payment. We recommend that you obtain a certificate of posting when you return the product. These are available free at the post office.

Complete the returns section at the bottom of your despatch note (this comes with your order) and clearly state whether you would like a refund or exchange. Return the product(s) to us in perfect condition (unused and in their original packing) to:

9. Electronic communications

When you visit AATravelkit.com or AATravelShop.com or send e-mails to us, you are communicating with us electronically. We will normally communicate with you by e-mail. For contractual purposes, you consent to receive communications from us electronically and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

AA European Breakdown cover is arranged by Automobile Association Insurance Services Limited which is an insurance intermediary authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. This offer can be redeemed by calling the number given in the order confirmation email and quoting the given reference code or alternatively if ordering via mail order the telephone number and reference code will be given by the call advisor. The closing date for this offer is 31st December 2007.

12. Invalidity

If any part of these Terms and Conditions are unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these Terms and Conditions will not be affected.

13. Hyperlinks

Our website may contain hyperlinks. These hyperlinks may connect you to sites of other organisations which are not our responsibility. We have used our reasonable endeavours in preparing our own website and the information included in it is done so in good faith. However, we have no control over any of the information you can access via other websites. Therefore, no mention of any organisation, company or individual to which our website is linked shall imply any approval or warranty as to the standing and capability of any such organisations, company or individual on our part.

17. Events beyond our reasonable control

We will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause, which is beyond our reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

18. Waiver

If you fail to comply with any of these terms and conditions and we take no action, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies in any other situation where you breach these conditions

19. Governing law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
